Senior Services

The Division of Senior Services serves as a community resource site of information in the fields of aging, social services and disability. It also advocates for its members and nonmembers throughout the community.

We offer a wide range of activities designed to promote physical, social and emotional wellness.  Our recreational and social activities include:

•    BINGO, Cardio Fitness, Chair Exercises, Zumba, Karaoke Fridays, Arts & Crafts, Theme Parties, Monthly Birthdays, Game Day, Movie Day, Holiday Events, Numerous Guest Speakers, Trips, Entertainment and much more. 

•    Seniors Farmers Market Nutrition Program Vouchers are given to 1000 Paterson Seniors beginning May 1st until we run out.

•    Weekly food deliveries to seniors who live in 17 Private Senior Buildings, as well as, seniors who live in private homes throughout the City of Paterson.

The Division of Senior Services also provides transportation services to our seniors & disabled citizen through the Passaic County Para-Transit Program:

The Division of Senior Services works diligently towards enhancing the quality of life of Older Americans and Individuals with Disabilities who are residents of the City of Paterson. 

Advisory Councils “Paterson Council on Aging and Paterson Council on Disabled” advocate and assist in the full inclusion and fair representation of residents who are sixty years of age or older & residents of any age who have disabilities.
