CODE BLUE ALERT
According to the National Weather Service, the forecasted daytime and overnight temperatures are expected to reach 32 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. Therefore, by the authority of the Passaic County Board of County Commissioners, a Code Blue Alert is being issued for Passaic County.
A Code Blue alert is being issued to begin at 8:00 pm on Friday, January 3, 2025, and continue until January 12, 2025. The temperature will remain at or below 32 degrees for this entire period.
According to the National Weather Service, (1) the temperature is forecasted to reach 32 degrees Fahrenheit or lower, or (2) the forecast includes periods of two (2) hours or more of windfall temperatures of zero degrees Fahrenheit or less.
Anyone in need of a Warming Center should go directly to one of the Warming Centers listed below. If you are aware of any unsheltered homeless who need assistance, call the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch at (973) 389-5951 and advise the dispatcher that there is an at-risk individual in need of a welfare check under the Passaic County Code Blue Alert Plan.
